The first & largest bird park of its kind in Malaysia, established since 1988, the 5-acre park on the mainland portion of Penang State, has a collection of more than 300 species of birds from all over the world
The museum's collection is growing by the day. Current exhibits count had crossed the 2,600 items mark, and is growing by more than 150 quality exhibits each quarter. The museum is privately owned.
Made its existance in Georgetown Penang in September 2013, is located in the heart of its heritage area in a refurbished 2-storey shop house on Lebuh Muntri.
The historic city of George Town has been listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO for its architectural heritage and townscape, cultural diversity and multilayered history, its living heritage communities and intangible heritage.
Penang State Museum Board will be organizing ‘A Night at the Museum’ on 1-2 May 2015, where participants will get the opportunity to enjoy a night at the museum.
